Heather works in a variety of mediums and themes including clay, collage, altered art, watercolor, acrylic on canvas as well as found-object art.

Themes vary by mood and include fantasy, faerie, mermaid, mystical, spiritual and Goddess art as well as poltical and social art, particularly relating to society, mainstream media and the plus size woman.

The blog is where you will find information about her latest muse, wanderings, shows and experiments. Heather is big on experiments. Sometimes they go awry and sometimes they turn out pretty darn good.

Heather is also a big fan of taking photos of her mis-adventures, so you will often find photos to keep the posts interesting.

Body Politics

Body Politics is a major collaborative series by artists Tammy Vitale and Heather Bartlett that addresses the concepts of self-image, self-worth, and submission to standard ideals of beauty, and how these affect our perceptions of our own bodies.

The series features a number of interactive pieces inviting viewer participation, and though its primary focus is women’s body images, it includes works about male body image as well.

Cafepress is an on-demand print site that features graphics by Heather.

You can order, mugs, tee-shirts, journals, buttons and even panties with Heather's artwork, little sayings, pagan, goddess, plus size and Wiccan icons and photos.

She even included a ittle Shakespeare line of merchandise for those of you who appreciate The Bard.

Writing

Heather's first self-published effort is The Wild Gardener and Her Magic Seeds - a collection of love poetry from the past five years which is dedicated to her husband Robert and her partner William.

My journey of self-discovery will continue to be chronicled and I will make my struggles and triumphs available in written word for those who have resonance with my journey and want to travel along with me."
